Under the soft spring skies of Baku, a new chapter of regional fashion unfolded this May. For three dazzling days — from May 16 to 18 — the Baku Convention Center transformed into a living canvas of creativity, where the past whispered through modern silhouettes, and the future shimmered on every hem and sleeve.

Baku Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2025–2026 was not just a showcase, but also a celebration — of bold designers, of cultural heritage, and of a city rising confidently on the global fashion map.

This season, the runway pulsed with the energy of a diverse lineup. Acclaimed Turkish designers Emre Erdemoğlu and Cihan Nacar brought their refined aesthetics from Istanbul, while Tajikistan’s ZHIWJ proved once again that upcycled fashion can be both conscious and captivating. Yet it was the Azerbaijani names that stole the collective breath — each collection telling a local story with a universal heart.

Among them, CONFIDANCE invited the audience on a journey through time with “Roots: Back to the Future!”. Models embodied a woman who draws strength from her roots, transforming history into power and grace for the modern street.

Next, UVENTA pushed the limits with “2125” — a collection that felt like a vision sent back from the future: sharp, avant-garde lines softened by delicate details, balancing strength and subtlety.

The romantic soul of Baku’s coastline drifted down the runway with “Caspian Breeze” — a gentle homage to sunlit days and seaside nights, woven into fabrics that danced like the sea wind.

Dada’s Studio, the brainchild of Naila Dadashova, made its full runway debut with “Wild East” — a daring twist on the “Wild West”, reimagined through the poetic force of Eastern culture. Vivid colors, cowboy boots, and raw textures told a tale of contrasts: bold yet tender, militant yet lyrical.

Drawing from timeless Persian literature, TUVA’s “The Quintet” turned Nizami Ganjavi’s Khamsa into wearable art. Each garment, adorned with miniature scenes and symbolic colors, paid tribute to love, freedom, wisdom, and the complexity of the human soul.

Meanwhile, sculptural drama met gothic poetry in Fidan Sadig’s “Narrative I”, where crisp white shirts became architectural canvases, softened by velvet, chiffon, and punk whispers.

Chovghun, long admired for its thoughtful minimalism, unveiled its most sophisticated collection to date — a statement of quiet power and a promise of the brand’s bold new chapter.

There were fresh surprises too. Monkey Fourest charmed with its Bali-inspired shirts and accessories — bright, playful, and infused with island spirit. And Hasanovs, the jewelry house born from a father’s craft and a daughter’s vision, mesmerized with two collections: “Woman’s Freedom”, an ode to empowerment, and “Swords”, a striking symbol of courage and wisdom entwined.

Through it all, the front row glowed with fashion insiders, celebrities, and tastemakers. The official face of the season, the elegant Jamila Alakbarova, embodied the very essence of Baku’s new style identity: poised, modern, and beautifully rooted. Esteemed guests like Marzio Nocera, CEO of Fashion Channel, and Turkish-Azerbaijani film star Nesrin Cavadzade added a touch of international allure.

Behind the spotlight, the event’s heartbeat remained clear: to elevate local talent to a global stage.
